Essential FTIR licenses are sold on a per-user basis. When you purchase Essential FTIR, you are purchasing a license to use the product in certain ways. Your rights are summarized as follows:
When you install Essential FTIR, you will be presented with the full license text also available here. The program will not run until you have agreed to its terms.
Once purchased, licenses cannot be exchanged, for example to alter the license ownership information. In such a case, you will need to purchase additional licenses.
Your purchase includes free updates within the licensed major product version. For example, purchase of a license to version X.* includes all X.* releases.
Your purchase includes prompt support via email.
Each Essential FTIR user may run Essential FTIR on as many machines as needed for their own work, within reason. In order to reduce casual license sharing, which is unfortunately a problem for a small business like ours, licenses must be activated after installation on each machine.
We've worked hard to make this flexible and forgiving for valid customers. For example, reinstalling an OS and/or altering hardware usually should not break your activation. Also, activation can be done directly from Essential FTIR and off-line activation is available if your machine does not have TCP port 80 (http) access to essentialFTIR.com. Each licensed user is allowed three activations by default and more can be obtained on request.
